“Copy Nothing.”
That’s the new ethos at Jaguar as the storied automaker prepares for its next chapter.
Jaguar released a teaser image of the rear of a concept vehicle, which is a display of its new creative philosophy, which it calls “Exuberant Modernism.”
This new design philosophy will inspire future vehicle design, Jaguar said, and the teaser image is said to be a glimpse of the brand’s design vision, which it calls bold, dramatic and fearless.
The concept vehicle will premier at Miami Art Week on Dec. 2.
As for Jaguar’s new “Copy Nothing” ethos, Jaguar says this new era recaptures the brand’s past, recalling the ethos of founder Sir William Lyons, which is to copy nothing and be unique and original.
Jaguar says it will champion true originality as a creator and advocate of artistic expression.
“This is a reimagining that recaptures the essence of Jaguar, returning it to the values that once made it so loved, but making it relevant for a contemporary audience. We are creating Jaguar for the future, restoring its status as a brand that enriches the lives of our clients and the Jaguar community,” said Gerry McGovern Obe, Jaguar chief creative officer, in a news release.
