The Jeep brand is celebrating the original jeep (notice the lower-case j).
The automaker has launched the Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 special edition for the 2025 model year, which is a celebration of the Second World War-era 1941 Willys MB.
Willys was one of several car companies that built compact 4×4 vehicles (often referred to as jeeps) for military use.
“Eight decades after cementing a reputation for all-terrain capability, straightforward design and tough versatility, the spirit of the original Willys MB lives on in everything we do at Jeep brand,” said Bob Broderdorf, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, in a news release. “The new 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 is a testament to that heritage. It’s a celebration of our past that inspires us, while we keep pushing the boundaries of capability and innovation.”

The modern vehicle features a new military olive drab-inspired exterior paint colour, period-correct Drab Blue hood-side decals and an optional tan soft-top. The tan soft-top is yet to come.
The off-roader also has 17-inch aluminum wheels in complementary colours and 33-inch all-terrain tires, as well as U.S. Army-inspired exterior decals, a unique tan interior with Heritage cloth seats, standard rear lockers for increased traction and front and rear steel bumpers.

The Wrangler 4xe is powered by a plug-in hybrid system combining a 2-litre turbocharged gas engine and two electric motors. The SUV gets up to 35 kilometres of all-electric range.
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Willys ’41 starts at a Canada price of $72,290 ($69,995 MSRP, plus additional fees), and is available to order now.
