Lexus has cooked up a special edition of its compact sports sedan as it approaches its 25th anniversary – and this car won’t be hard to spot in a full parking lot.

For the 2025 model year, the Lexus has taken the IS 500, in F Sport Performance+ trim, and gave it an available Special Appearance Package.

The package features new 19-inch forged BBW wheels, an Ultrasuede interior with yellow stitching and an exclusive Flare Yellow body colour.

There is a price premium for this package, however, which will cost a little more than $2,000 over the F Sport Performance+ model. We’ll get to the pricing for the entire IS model range further down.

For the 2025 model year, the IS is available in 11 grades and with three powertrains.

The IS 300 models feature all-wheel drive and are powered by a 3.5-litre V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 260 hp and 236 lb.-ft. of torque.

The IS 350 models also get all-wheel drive and the same 3.5-litre V6 engine, but tuned to produce 311 hp and 280 lb.-ft. of torque.

The IS 500 models get rear-wheel drive and are powered by a 5-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine mated to a direct shift eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine produces 472 hp and 394 lb.-ft. of torque. Lexus says the car accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

All models get the Lexus Safety System + 2.5, which features a portfolio of active safety tech. Wheel sizes range from 18 to 19 inches inches and each model rides on grade-specific wheels.

IS 500 models feature a Dynamic Handling Package, which includes an adaptive variable suspension system, a drive select mode with the Sport+ mode, a Torsen limited slip differential, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system and much more.

Estimated Canadian pricing for the 2025 IS series is as follows:
