Cadillac’s lowest-priced SUV is being discontinued.
The automaker confirmed to this blog that production of the XT4 will end in January 2025 and the vehicle will remain available for purchase at Canadian dealerships while supplies last.
“Cadillac will offer our most comprehensive portfolio ever in 2025 with 12 models and a mix of ICE and EVs. The current lineup meets the need of almost every luxury customer with an offering in most major segments. In just over a year, Cadillac has introduced six new products which will help us maintain our momentum,” the company said in an email.
The XT4 is produced at General Motors’ Fairfax facility in Kansas City, the same facility where the Chevrolet Malibu was produced.
Earlier this year, GM announced that the plant would be retooled for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicle. The Malibu’s production was to end in November permanently, while the XT4’s production was to pause in January and resume in late 2025.
Now, the relaunch of the XT4 is dead.
The existing 2024 XT4 has a starting Canadian manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $45,099, while the 2025 model has an MSRP of $48,899.
