The upcoming Jeep Compass will be available with a variety of energy propulsion systems, the automaker announced.

That means the next-gen Compass compact SUV could be powered by a gas-burning engine, by electricity, by a hybrid, or by a combination of any or all those things.

“True to the brand’s ‘Freedom of Choice’ strategy, it will offer various multi-energy propulsion systems delivering affordable capability, top performance, and advanced technology,” the automaker said in an Oct. 7 preview of the next-gen Compass.

The Compass will be the first four-wheel-drive compact Jeep SUV built on the Stellantis’ STLA Medium platform. STLA Medium is one of several global Stellantis battery-electric vehicle platforms, which will underpin cars, crossovers and SUVs.

Built in Melfi, Italy, the Compass will debut in Europe in 2025 before it expands to North America and other markets in 2026, the company announced.

If you’re hoping to get the current-gen Jeep Compass while it’s still available, you’re in luck as it recently had its price lowered in Canada for the 2025 model year.
