After achieving its best third-quarter for sales, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada is on pace to top its best sales year ever.
The company announced it has sold 11,454 vehicles through July, August and September, a 23 per cent increase over the same period last year, when it moved 9,282 vehicles.
Through the first three quarters of the year of 2024, the company has sold 29,693 vehicles, which puts it at 83 per cent of total 2023 vehicle sales – its best year ever – when the company moved 35,708 vehicles.
Leading the way in terms of sales volume is Mitsubishi’s most expensive vehicle, the Outlander PHEV, with 3,588 units sold through the third-quarter and 10,287 so far this year.
The company’s next best-selling vehicle, the internal combustion version of the same SUV, the Outlander, moved 2,471 units through the third-quarter and 7,169 through the year so far.
The company also sells the Eclipse Cross, RVR and Mirage. The Mirage, which is in the final model year of its availability, is the cheapest new car available in Canada in 2024. Mitsubishi plans to significantly increase its vehicle lineup over the next few years.
The 2025 Outlander PHEV is already available at dealerships, while the remainder of the lineup is expected to arrive in Canada over the next five months.
