Kia Canada has announced the pricing for the all-new Kia Carnival Hybrid, which is launching as a 2025 model year.

The hybrid minivan starts with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $46,545, which doesn’t include fees, levies or taxes.

If you’d rather buy the non-hybrid version, that one’s still available with a starting MSRP of $40,495 in 2025.

The Carnival Hybrid is powered by a hybrid-electric powertrain featuring a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine producing a combined 242 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. The drive motor has an output of 54 kW, the highest of any Kia hybrid vehicle. The transmission is a six-speed automatic.

Drivers can choose the level of regenerative braking through paddle shifters.

Fuel economy is rated at 6.9L/100 km city, 7.6L/100 km highway and 7.2L/100 km combined.

The 2025 Carnival features an all-new front-end design, which includes Kia’s star map lighting, just as you’d see on a Kia EV9, as well as gunmetal finish bumper trim, mouldings, roof rails, door garnish, skid plates and a black grille and wheels.

“The Carnival truly is the perfect life utility vehicle to meet the needs of any family,” said David Sherrard, director of strategic planning at Kia Canada, in a news release. “This 2025 model year specifically is robust with options and flexibility, be it seating configuration, convenience, safety features and now the introduction of a hybrid powertrain.”

The 2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid MSRP is as follows:

  • LX+ HEV – $46,545
  • EX HEV – $49,445
  • SX+ HEV – $56,445

The hybrid models will arrive at Canadian dealerships in early 2025. More information is available on the Kia Canada website.
