Jeep has released details of its Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles and what’s new for the 2025 model year.

A big change is that the Gladiator pickup truck is dropping the manual transmission, while the Wrangler SUV is keeping it, but only on a particular version.

Let’s look at the changes.

Wrangler

The Wrangler 4×4 is available in a variety of powertrains, including a 2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder model that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a 3.6-litre V6. The V6 only has one transmission available and that’s six-speed manual. The 2-litre turbo has 270 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque while the V6 has 285 hp and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.

There is also the Wrangler 4xe, a plug-in hybrid powered by a 2-litre turbocharged engine and two electric motors and an all-electric driving range of up to 35 kilometres.

New features for 2025 include:

  • Power locks and power windows now standard on all Wrangler models
  • New ‘41 exterior paint color; military olive drab-inspired
  • Active cabin ventilation (available) allowing customers to better pre-ventilate cabin via mobile app before entering the vehicle

For 2025, the ICE lineup consists of the following models:

  • Sport
  • Sport S
  • Willys
  • Sahara (four-door only)
  • Rubicon

Gladiator

The stick shift has been dropped on all Gladiator models as the pickup truck is now available exclusively with an eight-speed automatic.

It’s powered by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine that in the Wrangler is available only with the manual transmission.

The automaker adds that the 4xe plug-in hybrid will be added to the model range sometime during 2025.

Other new features on the Gladiator include a Fathom Blue and military olive drab-inspired ’41 exterior paint colour as well as the availability of active cabin ventilation, which allows owners to pre-condition their vehicle’s cabin, evacuating hot air in warmer weather, via the Jeep Connect mobile app before entering the vehicle.

The Gladiator consists of the following models for 2025:

  • Sport S
  • NightHawk
  • Willys
  • Mojave
  • Mojave X
  • Rubicon
  • Rubicon X
