Kia Canada has announced pricing for its all-new K4, which replaces the Forte compact car.
The all-new model is larger and promises to have more space for occupants, but it also carries a larger sticker price than the car it replaces.

“The K4 sets a new benchmark in the compact car segment with inspiring design, meaningful standard features, as well as plenty of technology to meet the needs of many,” said David Sherrard, director of strategic planning at Kia Canada, in a news release. “From advanced safety, to ample performance as well as segment-above rear seat room, the brand-new K4 is going to stand out.”

A pair of GT-Line models will arrive later. These are powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with 190 hp and 195 lb.-ft. of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The cars have a standard multi-link rear suspension for improved handling, more rear leg and headroom than typical in this class, more refinement and a host of advanced driver assistance systems, the automaker says.
Standard features include Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, a 12.3-inch multi-display and a four-inch cluster, LED headlamps, smart key with push button start and remote engine start, as well as Kia Connect with over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities.
