The full-size luxury SUV is launching as a 2025 model and promises to offer first-class travel in all three tows of seating.

That the newest Lincoln Navigator would be big was never in question.

Just how big? The next-generation full-size luxury SUV measures 5.33 metres long in standard size or 5.63 metres in Navigator L form.

And Lincoln is putting all that real estate to good use, calling the vehicle a “spa on wheels.”

The all-new Navigator is launching as a 2025 model and is expected to go on sale in the spring.

All models are powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-litre V6 engine with 440 hp and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s all-wheel drive, which is a given in this segment, plus an adaptive suspension and continuously controlled damping for improved ride quality, and if you add the heavy-duty trailer tow package, you can pull up to 8,700 pounds.

The rims measure 22 inches as standard and 24-inch rollers are an available option.

Most customers will likely be looking at what’s going on inside.

The SUV has a Rejuvenate feature. Just park the big rig, tap the touchscreen and enjoy a five- or 10-minute retreat.

“The driver’s seat slides rearward, reclines, warms slightly and begins massaging. The steering wheel moves up and away. And calming visuals fill the centre stack and panoramic display, complemented by ambient lighting and soothing sounds as a subtle fragrance fills the cabin. The standard Lincoln Digital Scent feature is class-exclusive in the all-new Navigator SUV,” a news release from the automaker says.

There are various multi-sensory experiences available, which include sight, sound, touch and scent.

“Waterfall Meditation provides the serenity of a remote waterfall, as virtual water cascades across the panoramic screen. Aurora Borealis includes two visual phases, one a mountainside lake as the sun rises, and another that shows ribbons of green light flowing across the night sky. Elements is an abstract journey featuring the classic elements of water, earth, air and fire,” the news release says.

Waterfall Meditation is standard on the Navigator, but the other two require additional purchase. The SUV also comes with a complimentary one-year subscription to Calm, an app with various calming features.

Seating is available for up to eight people, and Lincoln says all three rows of seats provide first-class travel.

Buyers have options for the second row of seats. There are available power tailored captain’s chairs that are power-adjustable, heated, ventilated and massaging; Power Pitch and Slide seats make accessing the third row simple with a press of a button; and a semi-powered second-row bench is an available option.

The third row gets a soft-touch bench for seating up to three, which folds 40:20:40, or third-row heated seats are available.

An available cargo tailgate manager creates a shelf for multi-level cargo storage, a table for tailgate gatherings and a bench seatback on the 500-pound capacity tailgate.

Lincoln notes the interior gets a clutter-free design for a calming effect.

There’s a 48-inch panoramic display up front, a 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D sound system, a 24-way power adjustable driver’s seat, a 22-way power adjustable front-row passenger seat and both front seats are heated, ventilated and massaging. Black Label models get 30-way “Perfect Position” seats.

The Black Label model is also available in a variety of themes, which includes both interior and exterior elements.

Audio and climate controls are available to second-row passengers, there are 14 USB ports throughout the cabin and Black Label models also get wireless smartphone charging in the second row.

BlueCruise hands-free highway driving is standard on the Navigator, which now also includes Lane Change Assist, which changes lanes when the driver taps on the turn signal when the path is clear and In-Lane Repositioning, which sees the SUV subtly shift away from vehicles in adjacent lanes. Blue Cruise is available for four years from the time of vehicle purchase.

Pricing hasn’t been announced.
