Automotive aficionados looking for a place to see, hear and even drive some iconic vehicles may want to check out this year’s Drive Festival.

The 2024 event, now in its fourth year, happens Friday, Sept. 6 to Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, located at 3233 Concession Rd. 10 in Bowmanville, Ont., east of Toronto.

“As we grow, we want to bring new and interesting features to car lovers – whether you’re in the market for a new vehicle, a collector, a racing fan or simply looking for a fun family activity,” said festival director Adam Ruppel in a news release. “We think attendees are going to be blown away with some of the features we’ve got in store.”

Some 30,000 visitors are expected at this year’s festival.

People will be able to check out displays of vehicles, enjoy the Dream Car Speed Run in which they can watch exotic, classic and iconic cars being driven at speed on the racetrack, or get behind the wheel of some special vehicles on a test track.

For those who want to take part in the test drives, there’s the Pro-Series Manufacturer Test Track, the Performance Test Track and the Nokian Tyres Off-Road Test Track.

The event also showcases the latest in automobiles and vehicle technology.

The 2025 Ford Maverick, a modern pickup truck featuring a hybrid powertrain with all-wheel drive, will have its Canadian public debut at the event as well.

Other vehicle displays are expected to feature electric and hybrid cars, SUVs and trucks, new and modified motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides. The latest EV models from Audi, Mercedes, Tesla and Genesis are also expected.

The Motorsport Park features 900 acres of space where exhibitors will be able to show off their exotic, race, vintage and rare cars. There will also be interactive events, including a family fun zone with ride-on electric cars for kids.
