The Formula 1 Exhibition Toronto, which opened May 3 for a 10-week run, has been extended until mid-September due to popular demand, organizers said.

The event is held at Lighthouse ArtSpace Toronto.

“We knew the F1 Exhibition would be a hit in Toronto, but the city’s overwhelming response has wildly exceeded our expectations,” said Jonathan Linden, Toronto native and producer of The Formula 1 Exhibition, in a news release. “Fans and followers of the sport will now have all summer to add the exhibition to their must-visit list.”

The event features contributions from Formula 1’s most legendary teams and personalities, including iconic Formula 1 race cars from different eras and never-seen-before artifacts and videos.

There are also state-of-the-art simulators with official Formula 1 gaming equipment for people to try.

The Toronto exhibit is presented by TSN, the exclusive F1 television broadcast partner in Canada. It spans 20,000 square feet across six rooms. The venue is located at 1 Yonge St., the former home of the Toronto Star, which previously hosted the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit.

“The F1 Exhibition is simply superb and reflects the rich history and personalities behind the sport. One visit simply isn’t enough to take in all the components of this dazzling show, I will definitely be back this summer,” said Melanie Villeneuve, daughter of legendary Canadian driver Gilles Villeneuve, in the release.

Even fan-favourite Toronto Raptors player Scottie Barnes called it a “great experience.”
