We know the automotive future is electric, and yet when an off-roader with a massive internal combustion engine is set to sunset, people want it big time.
Thanks to that popular demand, Stellantis has extended the run of its Jeep Wrangler 392, which was supposed to end in 2024.
“When news broke in March that Jeep Wrangler 392 was roaring off into the sunset, the comments, coverage and conversation showed us that the Jeep community isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the V8-powered Wrangler,” said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, in a news release. “Jeep brand listened and will continue the 392 Final Edition into the 2025 model year.”
The Wrangler 392 is powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 producing 470 hp and 470 lb.-ft. of torque.
Zero to 60 mph acceleration is reported at 4.5 seconds and the quarter-mile in 13 seconds.
The Wrangler 392 has 11.6 inches of ground clearance and is capable of 34.5 inches of water fording.
The automaker is also continuing to offer the Jeep Wrangler 392 Final Edition model, as it did for the 2024 model year, with most, but not all, standard features continuing to be offered.
The 2025 Final Edition will receive the following features:
- Exclusive hood and fender vent decals
- Black Nappa leather-trimmed seats
- Specially monogrammed shifter medallion and swing gate plaque
- Standard 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch
- Half-inch suspension lift
- Heavy-duty rock sliders
- Mopar fold-out swing gate table
- Standard Xtreme 35 Package with bronze 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels and 35-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires
Production of the 2025 Wrangler 392 will start in the first quarter of 2025 and orders will open later this year.
Canadian market details, including price and availability, have not been announced.
