Chevrolet has issued another tease for its upcoming Corvette ZR1, which is expected to be unveiled this summer.
The ZR1 logo image (seen above) had been issued back in April and now the automaker has released a teaser video on YouTube that previews the exhaust note of the upcoming ZR1.
Not much is known about the ZR1, but we get a slight taste of what it will sound like. Online chatter puts the upcoming ZR1 as being powered by a twin-turbo V8.
For a bit of background, the Corvette is Chevrolet’s hyper sports car. The current iteration is a mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive car.
In base trim, the car has 495 hp and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.
Typically, the Corvette has a base model, in the current generation it’s called the Stingray, plus a higher performance variant, currently called the Z06.
Occasionally, Chevrolet releases a ZR1 variant, which has even more performance prowess than the Z06. In case you are wondering, the current Z06 has 670 hp.
