Subaru Canada has announced the pricing for the next generation Forester, which is debuting as a 2025 model year.

The vehicle will start with a price of $33,495, not including fees, levies and taxes.

The new SUV is expected to be available in Canada in early summer.

Estimated pricing for the 2025 Forester is as follows:

  • Convenience: $36,333 (MSRP of $33,495 plus fees and levies)
  • Touring: $41,333 (MSRP of $38,495)
  • Sport: $43,847 (MSRP of $40,995)
  • Limited: $45,847 (MSRP of $42,995)
  • Premier: $47,847 (MSRP of $44,995)

Tax is extra.

The new Forester comes standard with a 2.5 L boxer engine with 180 hp and 178 lb.-ft. of torque mated to a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission and symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive.

All trims also get Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist technology, which features a wide-angle mono camera and is said to operate more smoothly and quickly under a greater range of conditions. EyeSight can identify cyclists and pedestrians at intersections sooner and, when necessary, alert the driver and applies braking to avoid collisions.

Other active safety features are available on the Forester, including reverse automatic braking, blind-spot detection with lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.

Emergency stop assist – a first for Subaru – activates if the driver becomes unresponsive to warnings while using advanced adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist. This standard safety feature will stop the vehicle, turn on the hazard lights and unlock the doors. Additionally, if subscribed, Subaru Starlink Connected Services will call emergency services.
