The newest Lamborghini has been presented to Canadians.
The automaker held the Canadian debut for its Urus SE plug-in hybrid SUV at The Symes in Toronto Thursday, May 9.
The Urus SE is the latest offering from Lamborghini (sales haven’t started yet). It is the electrified variant of the Urus SUV, which debuted in 2017.
“When the original Urus debuted in 2017, it transformed the perception of what an SUV could be with regard to performance and luxury,” said Andrea Baldi, CEO of Automobili Lamborghini Americas, in a news release. “The Urus immediately became the company’s all-time best selling model, and it’s popularity continues with more than half of all Lamborghini sales in the Canadian market in 2023. The Urus SE is the next step in the evolution of the Super SUV and our Direzione Cor Tauri strategy, the plan to electrify the range while moving toward decarbonization.”
The Urus SE was first unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24 and has since been shown elsewhere, including the Toronto presentation.

The Urus SE has a 789-hp powertrain, with an 80 per cent reduction in emissions, Lamborghini says. It is powered by a 4 L V8 engine and a 25-kWh lithium-ion battery. It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the automaker says. The top speed is 312 km/h.
Additionally, the SUV can travel more than 60 kilometres in EV mode.
Lamborghini’s Direzione Cor Tauri 2.0 strategy is moving the company toward electrification of its Urus range and toward decarbonization, which began with the introduction of the Revuelto in March 2023. By the end of 2024, the electrification process will extend to the launch of a second high performance electrified vehicle) in the range, which will replace the Huracán.
The Urus SE is not yet offered for sale. Customers will begin taking delivery of the plug-in hybrid SUV from the beginning of 2025. Fuel consumption and emissions data is awaiting approval.
Canadian pricing for the Urus SE has not been provided.
