The first shipment of the 2024 Fiat 500e battery-electric vehicles destined for Canadian car buyers has arrived on our shores.
Stellantis announced the arrival May 7.
The automaker says the Italian-built EVs docked in Halifax, N.S. late Friday, May 3 and will continue their journey to Quebec and British Columbia, the initial Canadian provinces where where the all-new, all-electric cars are first available.
The 500e is the first BEV offering from Stellantis.
The 500e is said to be the lowest-priced EV available in Canada, with a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $42,190 ($39,995 MSRP plus additional fees). Federal rebates ($5,000) as well as provincial rebates (where available) will push the actual purchase price down. Quebec currently has an EV rebate of up to $7,000 and British Columbia has an EV rebate of up to $4,000.
Stellantis says the 500e will be available in more provinces as production of the two-door car increases.
