You are not Batman. You never were Batman. And you never will be Batman. But that doesn’t mean you can’t drive something worthy of Bruce Wayne himself, provided your bank account resembles something close to his.

Automobili Pininfarina has created four versions of electric supercars, each pumping out 1,900 hp, inspired by the DC comic book hero. No, they’re not being called the Batmobile, but the vehicle names will be recognizable to anyone even vaguely familiar with Batman. There are two separate versions of the Gotham car and two separate versions of the Dark Knight car. More on each further down.

The cars, said to be ultra-exclusive, were created for Wayne Enterprises, a luxury brand developed by Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Yes, the name of the product line is the name of fictional Bruce Wayne’s company in the Batman comic books.

The Wayne Enterprises store, available online at brucewaynex.com, is a first-of-its-kind retail enterprise featuring limited-edition products inspired by comic book billionaire Bruce Wayne, who has access to the best of tech, fashion, art, multimedia, etc., and, of course, he also has access to some exclusive vehicles.

That’s where Automobili Pininfarina comes in. The Cambiano, Italy-based luxury automaker created two versions of each of its B95 and Battista cars, both inspired by Bruce Wayne.

Discovery Global Consumer Products, DC and Relevance International is a natural fit for Automobili Pininfarina,” said Automobili Pininfarina CEO Paolo Dellachà in a news release. “It’s driven by our shared pursuit of pioneering and sustainable technologies to promote the future of mobility. This collaboration not only empowers us to ignite the imaginations of our clients but also to reach and inspire new and diverse audiences.”

The B95 hyper Barchetta and Battista hyper GT can each be had in Gotham or Dark Knight guise.

All models receive all-new Wayne Enterprises-inspired human machine interface (HMI) display enhancements, featuring an instruction voice inspired by Bruce Wayne’s butler and assistant Alfred Pennyworth.

The cars are also powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery and four motors with a total of 1,900 hp. Acceleration from zero to 100 km/h comes in under two seconds.

The exterior is completed with Wayne Enterprises logos on the side skirts and roof and the exterior also features a unique aluminum chassis and door plate, inspired by Bruce Wayne.

The Battista models also offer entirely new performance-enhancing specifications, including tailgate shark fins and louvre openings in the front and rear carbon fibre wings to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency toward the rear airbrake and vehicle side body.

Gotham specifications

The Gotham design is intended to reflect the more gentle, civilian sophistication of Bruce Wayne.

Whether you choose the B95 or the Battista, it comes upholstered in a distinctive tan leather with bespoke quilting in the centre panels, as well as tan stitching.

The Battista’s bodywork is finished in Argento Vittorio gloss paint, complemented by the Nero Torino gloss paint Goccia roof. To finish the look, the brand’s “F” logo is back-lit and made of brushed and polished anodized aluminium. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloy wheels are finished with a Prezioso Evoluzione gloss black face and matte black channel rim.

The B95’s wheels are finished in a matte black inner and gloss black outer ring, with Titan calipers and a brushed aluminum anodized black rim centre lock ring.

Dark Knight specifications

The Dark Knight design is meant to reflect Bruce Wayne’s use of technology to fight criminals. Both vehicles feature black Alcantara and black leather upholstery, with a unique black and gold duo-tone contrast stitch.

The Dark Knight Battista’s bodywork is finished Nero Profondo gloss paint, with a Nero Torino “Goccia” roof, and Glorioso ceramic-polished rims.

The B95’s exterior matches the Battista’s but also features ceramic-polished rims.

Automobili Pininfarina says these cars are the embodiment of the Gotham City icon’s persona.

“Designing an all-electric hypercar inspired by Bruce Wayne is a dream assignment for our team, giving them creative freedom to place themselves into the imagination of someone as iconic as Bruce Wayne. These two exclusive specifications for our two hypercars represent the ultimate vehicles for the man behind the most famous mask in the world,” said chief design officer Dave Amantea.

The cars are available globally, including to Canadian customers.
