Infiniti is teasing the world with photographs and a teaser video of its upcoming 2025 QX80 flagship SUV.
The company released the latest teasers Feb. 27 and plans to actually reveal the vehicle on March 20.
“Before new models are revealed, they are typically hidden behind camouflage that aims to obscure,” said Alfonso Albaisa, senior vice president for global design, in a news release. “But, we feel the all-new QX80 is too extraordinary to keep completely hidden.”
The large luxury SUV was also previewed with a concept called QX Monograph at the 2023 Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance.
The new QX80 uses Infiniti’s evolved design language the company calls Artistry in Motion, meant to balance form and function to evoke emotion.
The company partnered with digital artist Kaoru Tanaka “to create a striking pattern while artfully concealing the all-new exterior,” Infiniti said in a news release. “A self-taught generative artist based in Osaka, Japan, Tanaka applied her signature approach to the sizable QX80 canvas. Inspired by the concepts of artistry, technology and motion, her bespoke digital work channels the movement and shapes of human DNA.”

If you have a chance to go to New York, the QX80 will on display at the 2024 New York International Auto Show March 29 to April 7.
