2024 Honda Prologue all-electric SUV’s rated range is 452 km

The vehicle will be available at Canadian Honda dealerships this spring

The all-new Honda Prologue, Honda’s first all-electric SUV, will begin arriving at dealerships in Canada this spring.

The SUV has a 452-kilometre EPA range rating and pricing starts at $59,990 (excluding freight, PDI and fees).

“The all-new Honda Prologue is one of the most significant vehicles in Honda’s history, representing our commitment to an electrified future and our vision to achieve 100 per cent zero emissions automotive vehicle sales in North America by 2040,” said Honda Canada assistant vice president Steve Hui in a news release. “Prologue compliments our stellar lineup of SUVs and Honda’s reputation of bringing reliable, safe and fun-to-drive vehicles to Canadians continues with our first, all-electric SUV.”

Standard features on the Prologue include Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technologies, 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Google built in, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless phone charger, 10-way power driver seat with adjustable lumber support, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and Sirius XM satellite radio.

The Prologue comes standard with all-wheel drive, and its dual motors generate 288 hp and 333 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Prologue comes with a portable charging kit, which includes an adapter for Level 1 charging using a standard home outlet and a Level 2 adapter that plugs into 240V outlets.

Pricing, excluding freight, PDI, fees and taxes, starts at $59,990 for the EX model, $64,990 for the EX-L, and $69,990 for the Touring. The Touring has a slightly lower rated range of 439 kilometres.
