The people building affordable housing in New Brunswick have a new set of wheels thanks to Nissan Canada Foundation.

Nissan Canada supports one local Habitat organization in Canada each year with a grant to support the purchase of a new vehicle. This year, the recipient was Habitat for Humanity New Brunswick, which opted to pick up a new Nissan Rogue.

Nissan Canada says this vehicle will support the organization’s day-to-day operations and site access.

“It is support such as this generosity from Nissan Canada that allows us to build a solid foundation for families in need of a safe, affordable home. Habitat New Brunswick currently has 84 families in homes throughout New Brunswick,” said Habitat New Brunswick CEO Perry Kendall in a news release.

“We are humbled to continue our longstanding partnership with Habitat Canada by supporting the newly amalgamated Habitat New Brunswick. Their mission aligns perfectly with Nissan Canada Foundation’s commitment to enhancing community well-being,” said Tara Willis, senior manager, DEI and philanthropy at Nissan Canada Inc. and director of the board of the Nissan Canada Foundation, in the news release.
