Cadillac is refreshing the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing models for 2025, a pair of cars that give buyers a whole lot of performance to go with their luxury.
“Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year,” said Mike Speranzini, managing director at Cadillac Canada, in a news release. “CT5 is Cadillac Canada’s best-selling sedan, and last year the V-Series and Blackwing saw their best sales ever. As V-Series celebrates a milestone year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated.”
Cadillac is celebrating the 20th anniversary of V-Series.
For 2025, the CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing cars get updated exterior designs that further differentiate these V-Series vehicles from the everyday CT5.
On the interior, the cars come with “aggressive surface lines with a focus on quality, attention to detail, authenticity of materials and impeccable craftsmanship,” Cadillac Canada said.
The CT5-V gets a new front-end design with a wider, lower appearance, complementing its fastback profile, the company says. This includes a redesigned grill and front fascia and black moldings, rocker extensions and spoiler.
The car’s signature vertical lighting with LED headlights also get Mondrian pattern etching, plus walk up and walk away lighting choreography, three new colours (Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, Typhoon Metallic), a lit Cadillac crest on the back of a 33-inch diagonal LED display, which welcomes the driver upon approach, and quad trapezoid exhaust tips.
The Blackwing gets even bolder design with a redesigned grill and front fascia with aero ground effects and front fenders.

Tech
The 33-inch diagonal LED colour touchscreen display adds ambience to the interior with a customizable user interface.
There’s a host of tech thrown into the cars, including a performance in-vehicle app that displays power, torque and boost in real time, a live dyno graph-style trace of power and torque with interactive analysis, performance gauges such as g-force, tire temperature and engine vitals, and much more.
Performance
The CT5-V features a 3 L twin-turbo engine producing 360 hp and 405 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The CT5-V Blackwing features a 6.2 L supercharged V8 engine with 668 hp and 659 lb.-ft. of torque connected to either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.
All-wheel drive is available on the CT5-V.
Brembo brakes with a V-Series graphic are standard on the Blackwing.
The CT5-V comes standard with launch control, while the Blackwing variant gets custom launch control with line lock.
Both versions get magnetic ride control and an electronic limited slip differential.
Production of both CT5-V versions is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2024. Pricing will be announced at a later date.
