Honda Canada has released images of the upcoming Civic Hybrid, which will debut as a 2025 model year.
Production of the vehicle is scheduled to start this spring at Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ont.
The Civic was introduced in Canada 50 years ago and is always a strong seller.
The 2025 Civic Hybrid will be powered by a version of Honda’s two-motor hybrid-electric system. Honda says the powertrain offers improved responsiveness for a sportier driving feel, while creating a more relaxed driving environment at highway speeds while improving fuel economy.

The company says the new Civic Hybrid is a step in Honda’s electrification strategy.
Honda plans to make battery-electric and fuel cell electric vehicles represent 100 per cent of its new vehicle sales by 2040.
Sales of EVs will begin early this year, including the all-new 2024 Honda Prologue, Honda’s first all-electric SUV.
