The life-sized version of Barbie’s 1957 Chevrolet Corvette will be on display at the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow.

This is the first time the pink car, as seen in the blockbuster Barbie film, will make an appearance in Canada.

The auto show runs Feb. 16 to 25 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Barbie’s Corvette will be the centrepiece of a Mattel display featuring life-sized replicas of four iconic Hot Wheels toy cars.

The other four cars are:

  • Deora II
  • Green Loop Coupe
  • Gray Loop Coupe
  • 1967 Chevrolet Camaro

“We are excited to welcome Mattel back to the show with Barbie and Hot Wheels, two beloved brands with an appeal that spans generations,” said auto show general manager Jason Campbell, in a news release. “Showcasing full-sized versions inspired by some of their iconic cars is a chance for adults to reconnect with their childhood, and share that passion with their children.”

The Corvette features a V8 engine, paint and exterior designed by Action Vehicle Engineering Inc., which also worked on the dashboard, instrument cluster, custom upholstery on seats, door panels and carpeting, and there’s as a custom wrap by One11ink.

The Barbie display will also feature a life-sized Barbie Box, which visitors will be able to step into.

Mattel will be giving away a limited number of exclusive die-cast cars that will only be available at the Toronto AutoShow, with the purchase of a Hot Wheels at the Toys R Us pop-up shop at the event.
