Porsche car built for Gran Turismo 7 video game comes to real life at Toronto AutoShow

Porsche Vision Gran Tourismo is part of 10,000-square-foot Porsche display at the Canadian International AutoShow

Porsche is returning to the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto in 2024 in a big way, and is bringing to life a car made for a video game.

The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo will be part of the German automaker’s display at the Toronto AutoShow, which happens at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre Feb. 16 to 25.

The Vision GT was designed exclusively for the Gran Turismo 7 video game on the PlayStation 4 and 5 systems. It is Porsche’s first concept study for a car created specifically for use in a video game, AutoShow officials said in a news release.

Porsche’s return to the Toronto AutoShow is also the company’s largest at event. Porsche will have a 10,000-square-foot display on the 700 level of the South Building of the convention centre.

“It is great news to be able to welcome Porsche back to the AutoShow, with some interesting and exciting cars to showcase along with the Vision GT,” said Jason Campbell, general manager of the AutoShow, in the news release. “The Vision GT exemplifies the vision and creativity of vehicle design, a showcase of innovative thinking and approach that you can only see at the AutoShow.”

The South Building is located at 222 Bremner Blvd.
