In celebration of its 30th year, Nissan Canada Foundation is taking additional measures to reduce hunger.
The organization is donating $300,000 in 2023 to Canadian food programs. This is on top of the regular $400,000 it commits to donating annually to partner agencies.
The $300,000 will be split between Food Banks Canada, Breakfast Club of Canada, Food Banks Mississauga, La guignolée des médias and Second Harvest Canada.
“We are proud and humbled to celebrate this incredible milestone,” said Nissan Canada Inc. president Steve Milette in a Nov. 22 news release.
“Thirty years in, we have come a long way in making Nissan’s vision a reality through the establishment of strong relationships with partners who do such impactful work here in Canada. This milestone is not just a celebration, but also a moment of reflection for all of us on how we can continue to grow the Nissan Canada Foundation and enrich the lives of people in our communities.”
Nissan Canada Foundation was established in 1993. The organization says its aim is to deliver on Nissan’s corporate vision of enriching people’s lives, by improving the quality of life in the communities in which Nissan operates.
