Genesis unveils 2025 GV80 SUV and first-ever GV80 Coupe

Genesis GV80 Coupe comes exclusively with a 3.5 L twin-turbo engine with 48V electric supercharger, pumping out 409 hp and 405 lb. ft. of torque

Genesis has unveiled the 2025 GV80 SUV and is introducing the first-ever GV80 Coupe.

The Coupe is still a four-door SUV but with a sloping roofline. The next-gen GV80s were unveiled in Los Angeles Nov. 14.

The GV80 SUV has two powertrain options. The first is a 2.5 L turbo engine with 300 hp, or a 3.5 L twin-turbo engine with 375 hp.

The GV80 Coupe, which Genesis says is intended to mix utility and sportiness, comes exclusively with a 3.5 L twin-turbo engine featuring a 48V electric supercharger. This engine combo pumps out 409 hp and 405 lb. ft. of torque.

The interior gets a comprehensive redesign with an elevated in-car experience, Genesis says.

It follows the company’s design ethos of Beauty of Openness. There’s a 27-inch-wide OLED display that integrates the gauge cluster and multimedia screen. For people who are tired of navigating touchscreens, HVAC controls are touch-based.

Drivers will also find a two-tone steering wheel option and quality materials on the inside, with accents made of leather, aluminum and real wood.

Genesis said the next-gen GV80s will be available in North America sometime in 2024. Pricing will be announced in 2024. The outgoing GV80 starts at $76,000.
